I was over the moon thrilled
when Jill offered Hooligan and her herdmates, Moose and Vaeda to us this
summer. These are some of Jill's strongest genetics and her favorite
does so I felt extremely honored that she would entrust her "babies" to
our care.
Hooligan won my heart as soon as she arrived. She is a very down to
earth type of doe....let me eat, get me onto and off the milking stand
as quick as you can and then leave me alone! Jill and Chuck had started
to dry her off before we brought her home so we worked hard to bring her
back into full milk. With linear appraisal just a week out of her
arrival and one last summer show to attend, we wanted her at her best
and she has not disappointed us.
Hooligan is just incredibly
well put together...smoothly blended, deep bodied, wide in the chest
floor, strong on feet and legs and she has a stunning mammary. Her udder
is very correctly shaped, long and smoothly attached in the fore udder
and with a beautiful high, wide arched rear udder. I just can't
say enough good about this lovely doe.
Hooligan appraised 91 VEEE just one week after traveling 650 miles in
scorching 95 degree heat. We have one final show thi summer and hope to
add some "bling" to her already well packed show record.
Hooligan will be bred to Max for March kids. All kids retained.
