Jax was a last minute purchase
as we approached kidding season. I had sold most of our mature bucks
over the summer for various reasons and realized that our 2025 kids
might not quite be able to breed all these does. We contacted several
breeders and narrowed our purchase down to Jax and I'm thrilled to have
him.
Jax is a looker in his own right...tall, level and wide...he is powerful
and well put together. HIs dam, Amber, has a beautifully attached
mammary both fore and rear coupled with that beautiful level topline.
His maternal granddam, Diamond, again has that beautiful level topline,
deep body capactiy and lovely, well attached mammary. On his sire's
side, Jax's paternal granddam is the lovely Wild Jazz doe from the
Forrest-Pride herd and his paternal grandsire is Kastdemur's Valentino,
a Vera Cruz X Hoku son.
Jax certainly didn't
disappoint with his first 3 daughters born in our herd. All 3 doelings
excel in body capacity, smoothness of blending and outstanding feet and
legs. Two of his daughters earned dry legs and I'm sure the 3rd would
have but I left her home due to space and time constraints. Can't wait
to see these girls mature!
Jax has continued to mature over the year and has developed a tremendous
body capacity. He stands on really outstanding feet and legs and seems
to pass that on to his daughters. We have several repeat breedings
planned as well as some new ones to our top does including Moose and
Rone. |
