Shady Lawn offered us Promises
just 2 weeks before her due date this year and we were thrilled to
accept. Promises is sired by Fast N Furious who is a son of our
beautiful Grey.....we could not miss this opportunity. Promises has a
gorgeous mammary with a long, smoothly attached fore udder and a
beautiful high wide rear udder. Another plus was that Promises was bred
to Kastdemur's Tsunami, a son of Kastdemur's Vicco. Two weeks
after arriving at our farm, Ember was born.
Ember was a slow maturing kid. She excels in
dairy strength with lovely width throughout. We especially appreciate
her strong feet and legs. We look forward to seeing this doe mature.
What a difference a year can make....from being
one of the smaller kids in the pen to being a huge dry yearling! This is
a powerhouse doe correct in every way! She came out for the summer shows
and was 3X 1st and 2X GCH including the District IV LaMancha Specialty
show. She was also a member of the 1st place Dam & Daughter with her
dam, Promises and 1st place Produce of Dam with her maternal sister,
Lace.
Ember freshened with a stunning mammary and
tremendous body capacity. We were so psyched for show season but
alas...she went uneven just weeks after freshening. Although we tried to
get her even to show her, it did affect her placings and we are crossing
our fingers that with extensive treating and pre-treating this fall, she
will freshen even!
