Firestorm was born less than a
week after we brought his lovely dam home. He is a littermate brother to
our lovely Ember who I feel is our very best 2 year old this year and
freshened with a gorgeous mammary. With a large number of bucks
last summer, we sold Firestorm to a close friend for use in her herd but
we always felt that it was a bad decision....one of those you regret as
soon as you do it. When the opportunity arose this spring to bring
Firestorm back home, we were overjoyed.
Firestorm is about the most mellow buck in the barn...very gentle and
easy to handle. Although not our tallest buck, he is very high withered
and has a powerful structure. He is wide in the chest and deep bodied.
That power and width also is exhibited in his extremely wide escutcheon
and his extremely correct feet and legs. Firestorm's dam, Promises, is a
personal favorite. She is long, extremely level with a beautifully
attached mammary. His sire, Tsunami, has produced some stunning udders
in several herds.
We plan to breed several of our best does to Firestorm this fall. |
