Nita, Rone's dam, is one of my
personal favorites as is her littermate sister, Kerri. We purchased
Kerri as a kid in November 2018. In the summer of 2020, Laurie offered
me a chance to add Nita and a younger sister, Katrina, to our herd and I
jumped at the chance. At the time I mentioned to Laurie that if she ever
decided to part with Rone, we would be interested, but knowing that Rone
was one of Laurie's favorite LaManchas, I never thought that would
happen!! Low and behold, I was milking this spring and got the message
from Laurie that she was willing to part with Rone
and was I interested....and YES, I was.
Rone is a doe that excels in general appearance, closely resembling her
dam, granddam and great granddam, the lovely Evianna. She shows more
body capacity that her littermate sister, Kerri, and they have nearly
identical mammaries. Rone aborted triplet AI kids early this spring so
is dry for the 2022 show season but we can't wait to get her into the
ring next year! I am so thrilled to have this pair of sisters in our
herd!
