We can't thank Laurie Acton
enough for allowing this beautiful doe to join our herd. We know what a
hard decision it was to part with this very special doe! And special she
is...Jutta is a long, tall correct doe with a stunning mammary. She has
tremendous area of attachment in the rear and probably one of the
longest, smoothest fore udders I've ever seen! Jutta is a very
laid back doe and one that actually enjoys the show ring!!
Jutta is a daughter of the beautiful Sochi doe and sired by
Goat-SanVito....both of her granddams are National Champions. Evianna, on
her maternal side was the 2013 National Champion as well as the 2009,
2012 and 2015 National Reserve Champion. Venice, on her paternal side,
was the 2015 National Champion. What more could we ask for
When Laurie told us that Jutta
loved the show ring she certainly wasn't exaggerating....she knows when
to turn it all on as you walk into the ring, actually showing herself!!
We took Jutta to the Mid-MN Classic mainly just for the fun of showing
her. She had just traveled over 3000 miles on a later lactation so we
made the decision to only show her one day and she didn't disappoint.
She was 2X 1st, 1X RGCH and 1X GCH/BOB and BUOB! She appraised She
appraised 87 VVVV with the appraiser stating that he'd love to see her
fresh instead of stale as he was sure she'd be scored a lot higher.
Jutta
had a bit of a rough year. Fresh with triplet does in early January, she
developed an infection on the surface of her udder which spread to her
left teat and made it very hard to milk out. The infection required long
term antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs for several weeks. By the
time we got her healed, she had gone seriously light on her left half.
Despite all of these issues, Jutta milked her heart out all during her
lactation. We are hoping that as she starts to slope off in milk
production, she will gain back some of the weight and body she lost in
early lactation.
Jutta will be bred to Clarence for January
kids. 1st doe retained. 2nd doe and bucks $800. |
