We can't thank Laurie Acton
enough for allowing this young doe to join our herd. We know what a
hard decision it was to part with these last few special LaManchas! And special she
is...Ireen is extremely correct like her dam with a long, level topline
and tons of general appearance but she also excels in dairy strength.
This is a very elegant young doe!
Her dam,
Jutta is a daughter of the beautiful Sochi doe and sired by
Goat-San Vito and has two National Champions. Evianna, on
her maternal side was the 2013 National Champion as well as the 2009,
2012 and 2015 National Reserve Champion. Venice, on her paternal side,
was the 2015 National Champion. What more could we ask for!
Ireen is sired by Argonne's
Forged in Fire, senior herdsire in the Argonne herd in California. He
has been used heavily in the Argonne herd and has produced long, tall,
dairy does that excel in mammary. His daughters all have long, smooth
fore udders, high wide rear udders and very correct teat size and
placement.
Ireen was very immature when
she freshened and has needed a lot of time to grow into herself. She has
started to look a lot like her dam but will still need another year to
be the goat she was meant to be. She has a very nicely attached
promising mammary and lots of milk.
Ireen will be bred to Matteo for February kids. $500. |
