Kat was always one of my
favorite does but her disposition left something to be desired...always
the trouble maker in every pen and this past spring I made the decision
to offer her for sale to a lovely neighbor of ours. She freshened at her
new owner's home with triplet does but literally mourned being there.
After 2 months of non-stop crying and getting beat up, Kat happily came back
home. She was one of those
sales that you regret before they leave the property so I was thrilled
when she came back home. Always having been one of our Alpha does, the
time away and getting picked on non-stop really affected her. Right now
we are keeping her and another doe separate as Kat gets very fearful in
a big pen of bossy does.
Kat is tall, long and very
dairy. She was a bit thin when she returned but was milking extremely
heavy. She has one of the highest rear udders in the herd with a long,
smooth fore udder. She stands on extremely strong feet and legs. I might
like to improve her teat placement a bit but she has a really lovely
udder.
Kat will be bred to
Clarence for April kids.. $600. |
