I can't think Sara Cordle enough for allowing this
special guy to come back into our herd. Blazes was sold as a kid to
Cordle Farm in Tennessee where he has sired some beautiful kids. After
selling Win and then losing Grey this past January, I desperately wanted
to bring a Grey son back into the herd!
Blazes resembles his littermate sister, Gypsy, a lot. Although not a
large buck, he is very level over his topline, wide in his chest floor
and correct on feet and legs. He also has the widest escutcheon of any
buck on the farm.
Blazes gave us some lovely 2020 kids
including the 3rd place junior kid at the National show. We were
thrilled with his 88 VVE appraisal score especially since he had
foundered as a yearling before we brought him back into the herd.
The first Blazes daughters will be fresh in the
winter of 2023 and we look forward to seeing them in milk.
We are extremely happy with the first freshener
Blazes' daughters that freshened this spring. We also had an extremely
nice group of Blazes' daughters born this spring including his lovely
Experimental daughter, Calico-Acres Blazing Haven, who was 3X GCH and 1X
RGCH Jr. Doe at the Mid-MN Classic this summer.
We will be using him on some of our best does again this fall! |
