Finally, Bluebell gave us a
doe kid and she's the image of her dam!! Poppy, as she's called, is a
smoothly blended, high withered doe kid. She had great body capacity and
depth of rib, especially for her young age. She also stands on a very
correct set of feet and legs. Her dam, Bluebell, appraised 88 VVVV with
a 44 in rear udder height, the highest in the herd.
Poppy was shown at the Mid-MN
Classic usually standing 2nd to herdmate, Haven, although she did pull
off one 1st place win. We look forward to watching her mature.
Poppy really matured into a
lovely dry yearling. Her general appearance, body capacity and dairy
strength are just stunning. She's not quite as big as herdmate, Haven,
but we really love what we see in this young doe. Again, she stood
behind Haven 3X but did manage to pull off a 1st place win on her own
again this year.
Poppy will be bred to Matteo for February kids.
